The nature zone (nature conservation area) reflects the
typical ecosystem of the region. This area has to comprise at least 5 percent of the biosphere park. Only careful and traditional land use and ecological regulation of
the wildlife stocks may take place in the nature zone.

At least 20 percent of the biosphere park has to consist of conservation zones (landscape protection areas).
These are landscape protection areas that already exist and in which careful interventions into nature and the landscape are undertaken.

The development zone makes up the remainder of the biosphere park. Attention is mainly paid here to the economically dynamic development of the area. Areas for people to settle, live, run businesses and relax are maintained and created.
